Question: How can something so small make so much noise?
Answer: They do make alot of rackett, They will drop nuts from rafters and crack nuts against wood in attics.
Question: Do they really Fly?
Answer: No they jump from tree to tree and onto homes from great heights, They spead their limbs which look alot like wings and use this to glide rather than fly.
Question: When are they most active?
Answer: They are nocurnal and active year round, but move into homes during cold weather.
Question: Can they cause damage in my attic?
Answer: They do live in colonies, large family units. They will use one or two areas for litter like a litter box. This might cause stains running down walls of the home, soiled insulation, fecal matter on flat surfaces, chewing and scratching at entrance areas.
