Answer: They are semi aquatic animals, they live on both land and in the water. They build their homes in either bank dens or lodges. they dig holes in the banks of lakes, streams, ponds, rivers, creeks. They will sometimes create more than one in case one floods or collapse. the entrance is usually under water.

Answer: They live in family units of a male a female and thier young, once the young reach maturity they then seek out territory of their own or are forced out by the adults.

Answer: During the winter they eat woody vegetation, sweet gum, ash, willow, poplar, cottonwood,pines, fruit trees and have been known to eat bushes. In the summer they will eat aquatic plants and tender shoots.
